Greentube, a division of NOVOMATIC Interactive, has gone live in Switzerland’s newly reorganized online casino market with Grand Casino Luzern’s digital gaming operation, mycasino.ch.
Greentube has already enjoyed great success in the Swiss land-based gaming market where a number of its land-based classics have proved particularly popular with Swiss casino patrons.
The gambling content provider hopes to build on that success through its partnership with Grand Casino Luzern that enables it to be among the first entries into Switzerland after the recent revamp of the nation’s iGaming market.
Through its deal with Greentube, Grand Casino Luzern and its online gaming operation have gained access to a selection of the content supplier’s land-based hits as well as online-only titles that are primed for local gambling customers.
Greentube revealed that, among other games, it will offer exclusively the iconic Super Cherry Slots by Golden Games to bring its presence in Switzerland even more in line with customer demand.
Greentube has successfully completed an ISO audit in order to be able to enter the Swiss online gambling market. The initial roll-out includes 50 gaming titles, with all of these being already well-known to Swiss land-based casino players.
It also became known that the content supplier will harness its partnership with Paf, which is its direct partner for operations in Finland, Latvia, and Estonia, and has also partnered with Grand Casino Luzern to jointly run the mycasino.ch operation.
A Strong Market
Commenting on their Swiss arrival, Greentube Head of Sales Daniel Lechner said that “the Swiss market is expected to be particularly strong for us given the familiarity of our games with local players.”
Of their Swiss partner, Mr. Lechner said that “Grand Casino Luzern’s leading position in and knowledge of the market, combined with its extensive customer base, will help us grow our brand in Switzerland and build on our land-based reputation.”
Grand Casino Luzern CEO Wolfgang Bliem added that “as Greentube’s portfolio contains some of the most sought-after games […], this partnership allows us to meet customer demand […] and strengthen mycasino.ch’s position as the most attractive Swiss online casino.”
Switzerland adopted a new gambling law that permitted the nation’s land-based casinos to conduct online gambling activities on the territory of the country. Under the new regime, international companies are not allowed to run standalone iGaming operations, but can partner with local casinos to jointly operate casino websites.
Grand Casino Luzern’s mycasino.ch was among the first gaming websites to go live in Switzerland under its new law.
Aside from the Swiss market, Greentube has also recently signed commercial deals that have enabled it to extend its Italian footprint. The provider has announced partnerships with locally licensed operators Snaitech and E-Play24 to roll out its portfolio of titles with those and gain wider access to Italy’s online gambling community.
